About This Course
The Principles and Practice of Assistive Technologies course offers an interdisciplinary learning experience that brings together engineering, design, and social impact. In this MIT-taught course, students work in small teams and engage directly with real users to develop accessible technological solutions tailored to their needs.
Participants gain both technical and ethical knowledge through topics such as user-centered design, rapid prototyping, human–computer interaction, and social impact analysis. With its project-based structure, the course provides an opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into concrete, real-world applications.
